First Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church believes that the church is us: people who love Jesus serve others by parking cars, holding babies, praying with others, pouring coffee, and opening their homes. In this, God changes us. Serving in the local church is a vehicle to discover how we are made and how the Lord can use us.

God has given gifts to each of us. As believers, it is our aim to use every gift to glorify God and advance His Kingdom. According to Ephesians 4, the body of Christ is only built up when we ALL play our part and do what God has called and commissioned us to do. Because of this, it is imperative that EVERY disciple discover their gifting and use it so that the gospel advances.

Christian Education
The Christian Education Ministry leads us in accomplishing our mission to equip and edify believers through teaching God’s Word. Christian Education oversees New Member Orientation, the Tabernacle Leadership Institute and Special Growth Groups to Mature disciples of Jesus.
Congregational Care
The Congregational Care team leads our church the Ephesians 4 ministry of caring for the body in love. We serve the needs of the church by supporting members during crisis, illness, and bereavement through prayer, visitation, and biblical advisement.
Covenant Couples
Covenant Couples is a ministry for married and engaged couples who desire to engage in marriage building community. Covenant Couples empowers couples of all ages and stages through hosting conferences, seminars, meet-ups, and date nights.
Culinary
The Culinary Ministry consists of individuals who are gifted and trained in Culinary Arts to provide Food Service for church events, repasts, and other special moments in Church life. This team is comprised of individuals with a tremendous love for God and others and a heart to serve.
Health & Wellness Ministry
The Health and Wellness Ministry represents First Tabernacle’s commitment to caring for the TOTAL person. The Health and Wellness team is comprised both of medical personnel and wellness experts who offer health and wellness checks, host informational fairs, and special wellness events.
Media Ministry
Media Ministry is charged with the church’s overall visual witness to the world. Through video, photography, sound, and graphic design, the media ministry is comprised of skilled individuals who desire to share the gospel visually and virtually.
Men’s Ministry
Men’s Ministry at First Tabernacle is all about engaging, equipping, and edifying brothers with the Word of God. Through dynamic discipleship and fellowship opportunities, the Men’s Ministry seeks to connect Men with God, His Word and with one another to raise an army of Kingdom Men who impact their world.
Music & Worship Arts
Our Music & Worship Arts teams leads the congregation in dynamic worship through song and dance in a manner that is both God exalting and with a spirit of excellence. This ministry consists of our Mass Choir, Voices 4 Jesus (Students), Men’s Choir, and Visual Praise (Dance).
Senior Saints
The Senior Saints Ministry is purposed to provide activities and fellowship for the seasoned members of the First Tabernacle Church. Our goal is to demonstrate that those who are mature in age and maturing in their faith have continued significance (Psalm 92:13-15) in the household of faith. This ministry for those ages 65 and older serves to remind them that their gifts, wisdom, and knowledge are still needed. We promote spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth through a variety of wholesome activities that challenge and stimulate older adults to explore areas that will enhance a healthy and vital lifestyle that glorifies God.
Shepherd’s Staff
The Shepherd’s Staff is a ministry constructed for the care and wellbeing of the First Family. This ministry supports the work and vision of the Pastor, is charged with the hospitality of guest ministers, and ensuring that the needs of the First Family are adequately met.
Starting Point
The aim of Starting Point is to help each new member become a fully connected disciple within the First Tabernacle Church. Starting Point serves to help new members move from new convert to engaged disciple over the first 6 weeks of membership.
IMAXX Student Ministry
IMAXX Student Ministry’s goal is to teach students to Maximize their relationship with Jesus Christ. IMAXX serves students in Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, & High School through engaging ministry on Sundays and Wednesdays, and a robust calendar of special events throughout the year.
Ushers and Greeters
The Ushers and Greeters ministry is comprised of those with a special gift of hospitality. Their chief aim is to warmly welcome worshippers so that each worshipper has received a friendly smile along with any information they may need to be better connected with the ministry.
Women’s Ministry
Women’s Ministry at First Tabernacle is a community of women designed for connection, discipleship, mutual encouragement, mission, and community. Women’s Ministry at First Tabernacle aims to empower and uplift so that every Woman lives her God given destiny.
